A Poem From One of Our Students Dedicated To Her Sister by Tasfia Aminur

March 17, 2014 By Al-Aqsa Islamic Academy

Throughout the day,

You & I

Fight,

Yell at each other

Eat each other’s brains

But in the end

We apologize to each other

Knowing it’s the best for us anyway

As a little girl

You would always

Follow me around

While I would do anything

Just to hide from you

Making sure

You were just far, far, away

You’d annoy me

Bother me

Draw in my notebook

Yet I would just be mad

And not talk to you for days

Though childhood is years away

We never stopped doing things

We used to do

When we were kids…

The fighting

The arguments

The laughter and happiness

Of those days

I still remember

As if it were all

Just yesterday

Your smile,

Priceless,

And worth more than

Anything in the world

Is something I want to see

Forever and Always

You are my angel

My princess

And without you

I don’t know what

I would ever do

I am grateful to have

A sister like you

Who is there beside me

During good, and bad times too

You make me feel like

The luckiest girl in the world

For having such a

Terrific

Amusing

Bashful

Adoring

Special

Sweet

Undeniably Awesome &

Magical younger sister…

Surrounded by your love

And astounded by your accomplishments in life

I am very glad for these

Magical memories we once shared as kids

And the moments we share now…

To have you as a sister for anybody would be

A dream come true…

Thank you for everything

We shared and are still sharing

Because words won’t ever add up

To how much I love you!
